This was a concept I started as an assignment at Art Center. I later decided to 3D model it in Zbrush. It inflates itself via the sphincters on its sides and rear, and pushes out the air to propel itself forward. It can also deflate itself to hide withing crevices, and eats the rocky terrain of its habitat to get the small organisms living in the rocks, as well as to create nests. Smiling is also a form of taunting predators that were unable to catch it, as well as a mating gesture by males.
